OXTOG stands for Oxfordshire Together and consists of several initiatives that Parish & Town Councils can get involved with to improve their local roads, pavements and public rights of way.
Thank you to all who have borrowed our sign cleaning kits so far. We are implementing a system where we have kits in all districts throughout the summer being passed from one parish to the next for efficiency.
If you would like to borrow the equipment as part of a spring cleaning/litter pick or for a specific sign cleaning day please contact volunteercoordinationteam@oxfordshire.gov to reserve your kit.
For more information about OXTOG activities please visit: Volunteer for highways and your community | Oxfordshire County Council
Non-Medical Help During Coronavirus Pandemic
During these extraordinary days, a group of volunteers in Goring Heath can help with getting shopping, picking up prescriptions, posting letters or parcels or just keeping in touch to check how you are ok. This is available to anyone in the parish.
We can't help with medical questions and suggest using the advice from the NHS website.
To request help click the Red Button.
We will take your details and someone will be in touch, so please don't forget to provide a contact number and your address.
Volunteers are distributing a leaflet to each home very soon which will have a phone number on for those without Internet access and details of how to get in touch.
So far we have 30 volunteers, we even have a Whatsapp group.
If you would like to offer help, please use the Blue Button.
There are 1000 of us in this parish, in Whitchurch Hill, Crays Pond and surrounding hamlets.
We know that most of you are in touch with your neighbours and will already have support networks in place.
If you have any important information that you would like to be included on this update, please email: goringheathparishcouncil@gmail.com
