The local history society has talks in the Village Hall through out the winter on topic of local interest
The Anglican Chrch of St John the Baptist www.langtree.org/whitchurch.htm. Services are held regularly at St Johns in Whitchurch Hill and also at St Marys in Whitchurch On Thames. Services include Book of Common Prayer Evensong and Holy Communion as well as family services and all age worship. The annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols is a traditional introduction to Christmas on the Sunday before Christmas Day
A spring and a late summer show are held in the village hall. Everyone is invited to enter, no special horticultural talents required.
A hugely popular fete is held on the weekend of the second May Bank holiday. Lots to do and see.
Whitchurch Hill WI
The Whitchurch & District Theatre Club takes you to musicals, plays, ballets, operas, classical concerts etc. once a month or more. Salisbury, Cheltenham, Oxford, Stratford and Chichester, amongst others, are often visited. Major London venues and productions. Mainly matinees in the week, but sometimes evening performances and weekends. Trips away. Tickets purchased at group/concessionary rates. Coaches depart from Pangbourne.
